Dr Claire Crawford

Claire Crawford is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick and a Research Fellow of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, where she was previously Programme Director of the Skills sector. Her research interests focus on the determinants of educational attainment and HE participation, including the roles of socio-economic status, expectations and aspirations.

Melissa de-Fry

Melissa de-Fry is Treasurer of the STEM Skills Fund. Melissa is Chief of Staff for the UK Wealth Management business of Rothschild & Co, responsible for supporting the CEO in all areas of running the business. She co-founded the Rothschild & Co Music Society and is a regular performer at the semi-annual concerts.

Dr Genia Diamond

Dr Genia Diamond is Chairwoman of the STEM Skills Fund. Genia was previously a partner at Cantab Capital, which was acquired by GAM. Genia co-chairs the London Chapter of Senior Practitioners for 100 Women in Finance and is a frequent speaker at investment management forums. Genia holds a PhD in linguistics from Moscow State University.

Harry Gaskell

Harry Gaskell is EY’s UK and Ireland Chief Innovation Officer and a member of EY’s UK&I Leadership Team. He is Chair of the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei), the UK’s leading workplace inclusion organisation. Harry is also a member of the Court of Governors of the University of the Arts.

Professor Averil Macdonald OBE

Averil Macdonald is Professor Emerita of Science Engagement at the University of Reading and Diversity Lead for South East Physics Network (SEPnet). In 2015, she received an OBE for Services to Women in Science and Public Engagement with Science.

Kat Pugh

Kat Pugh is the Headteacher of The St Marylebone CE School, a high-performing, non-selective state secondary school in Westminster, which specialises in the performing and visual arts, mathematics and computing. She is also Executive Head of the affiliated The St Marylebone CE Bridge School, a Special school for young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

Linkson Jack

Linkson Jack is founder and CEO of STEM Skills Fund. He is also founder of the Social Mobility Foundation, which he ran from 2005-9. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of London.
